About the KWN

The Kearsarge Women's Network
is an informal group - one that aims to blend business networking
with social activities. Think of it as a free support group for women in business. We get together regularly to network and to exchange ideas, to socialize and help each other with business problems. With over 200 members so far, the group meets monthly on Wednesdays and there you will encounter a wide variety of women from different walks of life and many varied interests. You do not have to attend every meeting to be a member and there are no dues or fees involved but we do recommend you come and meet other people

The idea was started by Marianne McEnrue, who after living in this area for quite a few years, found the need to meet and network with other women who enjoyed the outdoors, who wanted to meet new people, to exchange information about business and socialize
with new friends.

The Network is meant to be a free supplement to other Women's Networking organizations,.an additional avenue of information
for the professional woman.

Women do not have to attend the meetings to be a member of this network. Many women have busy schedules - juggling all sorts of responsibilities.  In light of this, We send out meeting and topic reminders once a month before the meetings and every few months send out additional e-mails with useful links and news that the
membership might find useful.

We were written up in May by the Valley Business Journal

We were interviewed from WKXL1450 Radio and there was an article about the KWN in September's issue of
New Hampshire Business Magazine.

We have some great speakers lined up for the rest of the year and
hope to continue in this vein for the years ahead.
As Susan Nye put it, "Men network: at the golf course, at the office,
at the "lets go have a beer down the road". Women don't.
Well it's time for us! Network! Network! Network!

Altissima quaeque flumina minimo sono labi
Still waters run deep
Literally "the deepest rivers flow with the least sound"
this Roman proverb suggests that we not sell short those who eschew self-promotion, at the same time cautioning us to watch out for people given to blow their own horns.
