Helping people find organized systems to keep control of papers and "stuff." "Being organized doesn't mean being perfect. It just means being able to find your stuff."
-Kendel Currier

Moving
When doing the actual moving, be sure you put your furniture in place before you put your boxes of stuff.  I didn't do that and when I finally moved my furniture after I moved my boxes, there was no room for my furniture.  Now I have a jumbled LR and DR and it has taken me way longer to get organized than it should have.  I suspect others wouldn't be so backward about moving, but, hey, I just didn't know.
-Marianne McEnrue

Eldercare
When attempting to help your elderly parents, don't be afraid to ask the tough questions like their end of life wishes. If you don't ask what they do and don't want done (i.e. feeding tubes, breathing machines) they may never tell you and you won't know what their wishes are when difficult decisions need to be made. Everyone, regardless of age, should complete advance directives when they're feeling well so they can make rational decisions about what they really want.
